we are having lots of problems with the existing single seal for the tar bottom pumps in steam cracker plant. it is pusher type single seal plan 11 (changed to 32) , the seal faces hang up , O'ring got damaged .....etc..
i am planning to upgrade it to dual seal plan 32/62 any bodey has good experince with this arrangment.
product is process water + 10% HC
temp. 150 deg. C
duble suction pump
PH 5-9
solids about 900ppm
