I am about to check a Taper Lok flange. (ANSI B31.3)
Normally we use simple code checking procedure with BS5500 (ASME VIII is similar). They contain a standard work form for RTJ and RF flanges. We are quite experienced with those.
How about the taper-lok flanges with a tapered gasket? What values should be taken for gasket diameter, gasket width, seating stress and gasket factor? Any guidelines? Where to find this information?
