I have modeled a interconnected steel towers with vertical and horizontal x-bracings.

I have defined these x-bracings with a compression limit=0 using the "T/C limit" feature by SAP2000

My design analysis shows that these vertical and horizontal oriented braces were "still" designed for compression.

Is there any means that it is possible that the braces defined will still carry axial compression?

Is there any advanced topic for these feature in SAP2000?

Thanks a lot to all.

You must run a nonlinear analysis for the T/C limits to work. If you are just running a standard analysis they will still hold compression.
