Because of the SPR confidentiality agreement, I won't say what it is, but I'm curious as to what exactly SPR # 137584 means. It is the 3rd SPR down from the top of the list, and has to do with "custom file properties".

Goodmorning,

Noone is in the office yet at Trimech or SW, and I need to resolve this as soon as i can....

i've installed SW 2006 office proffesional w/ routing add-in. Then installed (other) pdm (vault & standalone). Then, i downloaded the SW sp 4.0 for office proffessional.

When i installed the service pack, it ERASED PDMWorks standalone AND vault admin.

Does anyone have any comments on this off-hand? I'm going to contact support again, but thought i would give it a shot here.

Heard back from support. This is a know issue from several users. SW has not gotten to the bottom of the issue, but below is the fix from my VAR:

The reason this is happening
is still unknown but the you are not the only person that this has happened
to. As we did on the phone, to correct this problem, go to Control panel, Add
or remove programs, Solidworks 2006 Client. Modify this installation and you
will find that the vault admin and the standaloen client were never installed,
only the Solidworks add-in. Includign these features corrected the problem.
