OK ... I give in! How can the grid in the Layout Plane be set to NOT be displayed? (SW08 SP1.1)

The grid responds to changes in the spacing settings in the Tools > Options > Document Properties > Grid/Snap, but ignores the Display Grid option which is unchecked.

Grids in the main ref planes respond correctly.

CBL,

Whoops... misread your post. I haven't figuired out how to toggle off the grid. I don't think you can. I will not use the layout sketch just because of that feature. I really, really dislike having the grid showing when designing.

I too, despise those grids. I find them extremely distracting. The auto-relations and inferences are quite sufficient for aligning entities.

I will be submitting an ER if no answer is supplied here.

Hey CBL,

This is more than just in a layout sketch. The grids are always on when you insert a 3d sketch plane into a 3d sketch. I donn't think there is any way to turn them off. Going into a layout sketch automatically creates one of these 3d sketch planes, but, when you open a layout sketch, right click, and uncheck 3d sketch on plane, You are still in the 3d layout sketch and you now longer have the visible plane with the annoying grids.
