Hello All,

Does anyone know of an existing standard or any options which may be available for flexible joints which would be used for suspending a watermain under a bridge? In particular, I’ve been asked to recommend a flexible coupling to use for joining a watermain passing through a bridge abutment to the suspended section and through the other side.

If anyone knows anything about this, please let me know.

Contact the Ductile Iron Pipe Research Association for help. A bell and socket joint provides a combination of flexibility and straing.

Thanks Maury. I'll see where this leads me.
