I would appreciate advice on texts, software or websites that cover the subject of surge analysis of small hydroelectric turbines. The units under consideration are pipe fed. The analysis I wish to undertake is to cover runaway conditions when the electric demand goes off, surge towers, bypass valves, inlet penstock closure and start up.
