we want to do the surfacing on a component with the dimensional purpose .in which category in ASME SecIX we can refer to? hard facing overlay or corrosion resistant overlay? non of these items are for dimensional compensation.

Also, make sure you use the appropriate section of ASME B&PV Code to follow specific guidance for preheat and post weld heat treatment (if necessary) requirements for weld build-up/defect repairs.
