According to ISO 1302:2002 annex D, a surface texture filter may be proposed within the graphical symbol on a drawing inside inverted commas. For example:
"Gaussian"/Rz 4 or "2RC"/Rz 4
However, this standard does not give a full list of available filter types.
As my evaluation length is restricted, I would like to use a spline profile filter because it does not need the start and finish cut-offs required for Gaussian profile filtering.
A full list of filters and their corresponding labels is available in ISO 16610-1, section 5. Here, a linear profile spline filter is designated as FPLS. Does anyone have experience using the designations from this standard in combination with those in ISO 1302? Would it be acceptable to have my filter specified on the drawing as follows:
"FPLS"/Rz 4
