When creating a Surface when do you use Open ends and Capped ends? What steps are taken to merge a pair of surfaces? When do you use Join or Intersect?

When you use open ends and capped ends are for extruding a surface. If you used open ends to extrude a surface you could sketch a section that doesn't need to be closed, if you chose capped ends your sketch would have to be closed because Pro/E wants to seal the ends of the extrude i.e the sketch plane and the final depth.

It a real good option in Mold Design.
