I need information for references and suggestions for compressor or pump vendors that would be capable for injecting supercritical CO2 550 bar. It seems that alot of vendors are hesitant at that high of pressure. The need for the 550 bar pressure is due to the reservoir.

The flow is 500,000 Sm^3/day. standard as in 25 deg C and 1 atm.

Talk to Nuovo Pignone (GE) in Italy - they are constructing some acid gas injection units for use in the middle east with fairly high injection pressures. At that pressure you need a pump - you could also discuss with Sulzer.

ariel has worked to build custom cylinders, their max right now is 7800 psia. I had an ariel package converge with 1/3 the volume on 1 frame, 6 stages.

In the LDPE they used hyper compressors (google for vendors). to ethylene to 30,000 psi. Ethylene acts a lot like CO2.

Although I like both Dresser and Ariel, our experience is that it's not all about the compressor. More often the success of the system is in controls, materials choices, seal systems, packing arrangements, and lube oil management. If the auxiliaries are done right, the resulting package is usually pretty good.

Recip compressors would be good but since this is an FPSO, having it fit on the boat is a criteria.

Nuovo Pignone is the only company that would give us a quote for the CO2 pumps. I was looking for other companies that may exist that i didn't know about that would be able to quote to give us more than one option.

The highest that the centrifugal compressor manufacturers will quote for is 200 bar.

Also through all my internet searching i haven't found any CO2 references for pumping at these pressures. I would really like to get some background on prior implementation of this design especially if i'm limited to only one vendor.
