Answer to thread1234-282031:

I found out a few days ago how to use submodeling technique with Femap and Nastran!
See "Commands" book, Chapter 7.2.3.1 "Data Surface Definition Method", Section "Output Map Data Surface".

I "mapped" the Total Translation vector from the coarse model output into the data surface, then copied the whole data surface (not only the table of values) and pasted it into the submodel (i.e. another Femap file with a fine meshed detail of the coarse model).
Then you have to apply a displacement (and T1, T2, T3 constraints) on the interfaces nodes of the submodel: a vector where amplitude=1, method=data surface "total translation", and that's it.

I hope one understand my explanations, the easiest way is trying by oneself ;)

Sorry for those who already knew that, now I will find it with Google :)

Regards,
Simon
