How do automotive manufactures measure a newly developed vehicles uni-body type structure for performance in various driving conditions? I'm looking for some guidance on how the test equipment is setup and what type is used.

Which attributes are you concerned with? Durability? If so that 329 type system is often used, driving the wheelhubs with forces that were measured on a real car using wheel force transducers.
