I'm designing 4pcs-4m long steel column using wide flange rested on a reinforced concrete slab 127mm thk. with 500mmx500mmx20mm thk. base plate. Is this possible to carry a certain load without cracking the outermost fiber of the slab due to axial load and bending on both direction?
 
If you need a 500mmx500mmx20mm thk. base plate then I don't think a 127mm slab will be enough; not even for the anchor bolts.
 
The other way of looking at this is that if you spread the load enough, it is supported by the subgrade rather than the slab. With a base plate .25 m^2, and say a subgrade capacity of 100 kPa, you could load 25 kN onto the plate without expectation of distress in the slab. I imagine with some types of mechanical platform, that might suffice.
 
My comment assumed a ground supported slab, which on second reading may not be the case.
 
Obviously, further clarification is needed to answer the question.
