My company currently uses SAFE, ETABS, and Risa for our modeling software. For the past 3 years I have used a program called web civil for performing quick calculations on footings, connections etc. when reviewing other engineers design. I've heard of other programs such as Enercalc, however this program does not include the Canadian Building Code in their design solutions. Does anyone have any suggestions of software they are using for checking designs of structural elements that includes the Canadian Code. Preferably software that is quick and user friendly.

The latest versions of RISAFoot and RISAConnection both have the Canadian code. Not sure whether you have other needs as well, but the two you specifically mentioned should be covered.

Thank you JedClampett. I checked out the site and they do have the Canadian Code. This is exactly what I'm looking for as long as the price is right (they are getting back to me).

JoshPlum thank you for your response. I have used Foot and connection and also had the seminars. We currently use the Risa 3D software, but our company hasn't forked over the money to add the additional programs :(

I don't think TEDDS is cheap at all...although I do like the software and it is very very powerful. But I wouldn't call it quick.
