Hello,

Anyone knows were can i find detailed information regarding the structural design of drilled shafts?.

Most of the references I got deal with the geotechnical design and very little information regarding the structural design.

I know I need to obtain the max moment from a lateral analysis (e.g from lpile) and compare this moment value with something else.I think i also need to evaluate the shear capacity.

Please let me know,

Thanks in advance

ACI 336.3R-93: Design and Construction of Drilled Piers (Reapproved 2006)

ACI 336 in conjunction with ACI 318 will get you to where you need to be.

Also the CRSI handbook will help as well for sizing reinforcing in comparison to a circular column.

Thanks a lot gentlemen!

I really appreciate your help!
