Good morning,

I have imported from Catia in NX a stp file from a solid.
The conversion looks strange.......The solid has face/s that is not shown!
I do not get it!
Could you find what the problem is?
Thanks

There's something curious: If you try to delete (synchronous modeling – delete face) the area where the faces are missing, the face would appear!!!!!!

Do a File -> Export -> Heal Geometry. That will fix the problem.

Hi PhoeNX,
I tried that but it doesn't work.........

PhoeNX,
My bad...it works!......
Thanks a lot!

extract the faces of the whole body as single face, and you see were nx has problems with catia geometry - pls contact gtac
regards

If you have a look at the original model you supplied and run Analysis - Examine Geometry on it, you will find NX reports both Self intersections and consistency problems.
One of the faces is a "Non manifold" condition which NX/ Parasolid don't like but which the Heal geometry cures.

Toost, you're suggesting me to use the File→ Export→ Heal Geometry, right?

MZ7DYJ

Yes, the file- export - heal geometry , - that you already have used :-)
what i am saying is that one face of the imported body is "corrupt", selfintersecting. Probably due to that Catia and Parasolids handles "special cases" differently.
See attached image. Screenshot in wireframe display mode.

OK, I got it.
Thanks a gain!
