I am using Autocad 2004. How do I load a linetype that is stored in my drawing into my acad.lin file?

I have never used it but I think Express tools has a Make Linetype app that allows you to make a linetype from an existing one. Once you create this into a *.lin file, you can copy it into the acad.lin file.
