Need a steel material that is readily available that can will work as a pin in a double shear connection with un-factored loads of about 90 kips (DL+roof LL). The connection will have a 2" thick plate middle and 1" plates either side connected with the pin.
We called out 1 1/2" diameter but neglected to call out steel.
Would ASTM 193 B7 round bar be what one would use here?
