steam and condensate balance calculation and software

I am encountering a project that is required us to do the steam and condensate balance caluation under normal condtion / feed variation condtion / start-up condtion / shut-down condtion.

Could you please share any book or related software information allow me to do this calculation in short time?

In addition to the scientific book material, some less perfect folks like may sometimes use calculation software on the web. Saturated Steam is an easy example. I searched via Google for saturated steam calculation pressure temperature and received saturated steam web calculations. I also found free software on my iPhone and loaded it free. Is any condesnate/steam network loop software or book to instructing me how to avoid spending a lot of time (easy to fault) to put the complicated & massive steam / condensate network, mass & engergy balance equation in to the excel?

Do you want to understand a steam system or the steam demand of a process on the system?

If it is the first, the only way I've done this in the past has involved starting with the P&IDs and mapping out all of the flow, temperature and pressure instruments. Once I'd checked the (typically poorly calibrated or not calibrated at all for many years) instruments, I could start mapping out envelopes that I could mass balance around. Mass and energy balances constructed from that. Googling steam balance software will find you some packages to do that if you prefer not to roll your own spreadsheet. To be honest, the software is the easiest bit, gathering data is the issue.
