Hello All,

I am new in designing components made of GFRP, my requirement is to make a cover (Quantity= one in number) with the thickness of 2mm, for aerospace application

with reference to docs in internet I decided the manufacturing method as Molding (since the thickness is less, and the part overall dimensions is 600mm I choose molding technique), as molding is a costlier process for a single component is there any alternative manufacturing method to do this part.

Also I would like to know what standard(like ASME Y14.8M for Casting & Forging) to be followed for creating drawings for GFRP molded parts (or any plastic parts)

Thank you in advance
Prabhu
