Im working on a job where bituminous wearing course is failing, perhaps due to thermal movement, on the roof of a shopping centre / mall. There is a bituminous wearing course, underlain by a membrane, over the top of a structural concrete slab. The site is in Western Australia but there may be no Australian standard so any - Eurocode, British standard or ASTM or other international standards would be great.
The temperature range here is from 5 degrees to 45 degrees celsius (approx 40 - 115 degrees farenheit)
Would anyone have standards for this – I’m having a problem with finding the relevant standards – most of the which refer only to asphalt in conjunction with typical ground level road base construction.
ItIm looking for some standards for materials specification and thicknesses.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give.
