Hello Friends,
I need standardize the thread for which I measured outer diameter of thread and Thread per inch which comes out to be 0.305in and 20TPI. Now I cant see this combination on thread standard table. I dont known where I go wrong. Need some guideline.

Thank you

And if inches don't work out, check metric.

Or it might be M8 X 1.25.

At the nearest hardware store (during a lunch hour or mid-morning) BUY a 5/16 UNC and a 5/16 UNF nut, and a metric M8 x 1.25 nut. They will cost you less than $1.00.

Bring all three back to the project and test them.

There aren’t any standard threads here on E-Tips. Each one is different, a slightly different subject, a slightly different set of conditions, etc. And, you should not be double posting the same thread on many forums. Yes, there are some standard topics or subjects which keep coming up over and over again, different people similar subjects or problems, but no standard threads. :)
Oh.... never mind.
