I have to specify a thread in a plastic container with lid, the container will have an o-ring and is intended to hold 1 liter of water. The diameter is approximately 110.00 mm and the pitch should be about 10 mm. I am looking for a standard specification for the thread tooth cross section. Can any one recommend an SPI, SPE, ASME or other standard that will cover plastic threads for an application similar to mine? Thank you.

Yes, there are standards in the container and closure industry. I don't have my reference books handy, though. Someone will steer you right on this thread.
