Hi,

Is there a standard (ANSI, ISO, etc) describing the allowances required between a ring gauge and the shaft to be measured?
I was looking at ISO 286 and ANSI B4.1, but they deal with the system of limits and fits in general.
In considering the allowance required, should the geometric tolerance (roundness, cylindricity) be added to the allowance?

Thank you.
