I need to know the standard available motor size in the market, used for the refinery and petrochemical industry. If possible I need to know the power factor and the efficiency (at full load) of such motor.

Any help is highly appreciated.

Thanks!!!

In the US, NEMA MG-1 defines a whole range of standard "sizes", which would include horsepower and speed ratings and physical dimensions.

I just bought a 100hp 3600 rpm motor (non energy-efficient).
Efficiency was 95% and power factor was 87%. But there are wide variations possible.

There are federally-mandated minimum efficiency levels for new motors. (EPACT).
