I have a stamping project, the material that will be stamped out is a combination of Kevlar/fiberglass that has a thickness of .158" my current problem is that when material is stamped the cutter has to be cleaned each time because of material sticking to it. Questions are:
1) What would be the best steel to use for this cutter.

2) What should the clearance be.

3) Is there a plating operation available that could be done to Die set to help eliminate build up.

Thanks

Revision: the build up is not on cutter, the cutter will cut but the material is what has to be trimed, so the cutter is not cutting, any suggestions ?

Wouldn't it be better to use watercutting for this material? I would think the material is bound to get delaminated and fibers torn out, especially as the kevlar is hard to cut. You might even be able to use lasercutting?

Perhaps post this in Industrial/Mfg Engineering?
