For an organic waste pulp storage tank with a temperature of 65°C and a chloride concentration around 250 ppm is SS-316 a good choice. I think that duplex 2205 is more suitable but but my client is convinced that using SS316 is sufficient.

Are there solids that will settle in the bottom of the tank for extended periods? If so, 300 series stainless steel is not acceptable.

Even if this was clean water at 65C with 250ppm Cl 316 would not be suitable.
This is a good example of where 2205 had distinct advantages.
Give that this is a tank and that 2205 is so much stronger than 316L I would expect the cost difference to be very minor since they will use a lot less metal..
You will need to be more demanding of the fabrication welding practices with 2205.

Ditto, 316 is not up to the task.

I agree with all precedent guys, do not use SS TP316 Rachbay!

Just to go outside of the box, this seems like a good application for a box made of FRP. If there is concern of abrasion, perhaps a skim coat of Belzona 1321 or similar abrasion resistant epoxy would create an ideal solution?

I saw what you did there, but the problem is inside the box.
