Is there a way to change the dimensions in the solidworks drawing file to stacked instead of horizontal? I know AutoCAD could do it and I can't find how to change it in Solidworks. Thanks.

And by stacked I'm talking about the fractions specifically... sorry, I forgot to clarify earlier....

TOOLS/OPTIONS/DOCUMENT PROPERTIES/UNITS/FRACTIONS

*sorry* this can be changed in your start part/drawing if it is standard practice.

Yes, If fractions are normal in your industry then I would save a new drawing template with the fraction option checked......also note the common denominator setting.

Well... thanks for trying to help folks, but the answer you gave me just turns fractions on which I knew before. What I need is to turn the fractions I have from a horizontal format to a stacked format which is our company standard. eg. Changing 39 1/2" to .... 39 1 over 2"

did you try placing your dimensions in via "ordinate" with the fractions option selected? I believe this will work for you, if I understand your question/request.

send me your email, ill send you a screen shot of what I have.
