Hey
I've made a part in ST2 and I need another version of the same part. It needs to be squashed along the Y axis.
In 3DMax you would simply use the non uniform scale tool but I'm under the impression that although sketches can be scaled in Solid Edge parts can't.
It would be a mammoth task to have to start from scratch.

Any words of wisdom?

Hello,

Try creating a new part file and then using the Insert Part Copy tool to bring in a linked copy of the original part. During the importing of the part, you will have options including scaling and one option is to scale it along the axes.

I'm running version 20 and not really familiar with all of the tools available in ST2, but there is probably a way to do it. If you have access to the Solid Edge forum you might post there as well since there are a lot of ST power users who may be able to provide instructions on how to do it with Synchronous tool.s
