A SQD PL breaker has what appears to be 2 AIR ratings: one is 100kA (1ph) the other 14kA (3ph) at 480V. See pic. However, the SQD literature only has 100kA listed for this breaker.
Has anyone seen this type rating before? And 14kA seems awful low compared to 100kA rating.

For 1-phase application max fault currant is 125 kA at 240 V and 100 kA at 480 V.
For 3-phase application max fault current is 100 kA at 240 V and 14 kA at 480 V.

unclebob - Thank you for the reply but that is not quite correct. I found out from a Square D catalog that the 14kA rating is for a corner grounded delta configuration and is noted by the 1ph-3ph above the ratings. The 3ph ratings are therefore 125kA for 240V and 100kA for 480V. For corner grounded delta applications, the rating is 100kA for 240V and 14kA for 480V.

Whatever. I read the information the same as unclebob.
Ratings on the breaker take precedent over catalogue information.
