I am try to produce a spring with a variational sweep I have used a helix curve and then in sketch using on path I have drawn the outside profile of my spring but when I try to use variational sweep
it says the path must be single connected section??? even thou I have sketch on path what am I doing wrong? I have attached a part file of this.

Why are you trying to use a 'Variational Sweep'? Have you tried a simple 'Swept' feature as I've done in the attached example?
