Dear,

I'm trying to model a spring that has a variable thickness. In the middel of the spring the spring is thinner then at the start and ending of the spring. I tried lofting whit a helix as guideline and tried to create a boundary surface, using three intersection sketches. But it will not build the spring... I could use some advice here. Thanks in advanceView attachment 5965

you need to have tyhe circles at the start and the end of the helix.
as for the middle one just split the helix at the circle interference

Hey Thanks.

It worked with a Loft and the helix as a centerline.

Greetings,

Billy
