Hi,

I haven't ever design a spring with this profile.
How would you create it?....
The dimension could be flexible(in value or units, mm/inch); the only requirement is to keep the shape from attachment as close as possible.

Thanks!

Depending on what version of NX you're using, it may not be all taht difficult to create a model of a spring like that. Now if there is also a need to make it a 'Deformable Component' so that you can show it assembled with different amounts of compression, that's a bit trickier but it could still be done.

Thanks Mr. Baker,
I was wondering if you could teach us to create the spring in NX 9.0.
Just a regular 3D design, no "Deformable Component" task needed...................

Thanks!

What's the gauge of the wire? It looks like it's about 0.125 dia.

It is 1.185 dia.
I look forward to see your project.
