Hello dear experts,
I need to subject to a static structural analysis a metal/rubber spring (a steel spring dressed in rubber). Until now, for the metal components of rubber/metal bushes I used the structural steel from Ansys library. For this spring, more exactly for the metal part of the spring (which is an actual steel spring) I need to define the steel spring material and I'm not sure if I can find a suitable material in Ansys library. Can someone guide me in defining a spring steel in Ansys?
Thank You!

If you are doing a linear elastic analysis, structural steel is probably fine. The only elastic properties needed are Young's Modulus and Poisson's Ratio. These values typically don't change much for carbon steels with varying alloy and heat treatment. Within the context of a linear elastic FE run, there is no difference between A36 and quench and tempered AISI 1095.

As always, thank you Rick! I'll give it a go!
