Spreadheet for bolt verification

If some one has spent his time and money to develop something that is accurate enough for your purposes and does the job for less than it takes you do develop and test it, then pay him. Or her.

In your OP you used the description "valid and practical free spreadsheet". First of all, if you don't have the expertise to produce such an analysis spreadsheet yourself, just how will you verify the accuracy of the results some "free" spreadsheet provides?

Pay a couple hundred bucks for the Eurocode 3 document and another hundred bucks or so for a copy of Excel. Then use the engineering skills you spent several years and tens-of-thousands of dollars developing during your university career to produce your own analysis spreadsheet. In the end it will be much more rewarding to do it yourself. Plus it will be a great learning experience.
