I am dealing with an attic constructed of wood rafters that appear to be totally constructed using 2x4's.
Problem is the installation of 0'-11" of spray foam insulation which dictates I have to use upright sprinklers and I am planning to install the deflectors about 1'-10" down from the roof deck which would place them approximately 0'-11" below the insulation IF they install the minimum of 0'-11" that is called for.
Attachment would be Sammy Screws.
I am well aware the pipe can not be in contact with spray foam but what about the hanger rods?
If I had to we could purchase some 2x4's and nail them diagonally between the braces directly below the foam insulation.
Anyone run into this problem? Oh, I definitely have in the past but only with pipe and not hanger rods or attachments. Also I have NEVER had foam insulation 0'-11"
