Hi,

Does anyone know how to create a split curve on a solid face (not a surface, but a face of a solid)? The curve would create a new edge on the solid face and split the solid face in two.
The reason I need it is because the FEA module in Catia allows me to select only solid faces to apply forces, boundary conditions.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

in GSD or wirframe & surface Extract surface --> split / trim to desired geometry / profile.
switch to part workbench stich surface onto solid (uncheck simplify geometry other wise edge will not be visible).
