Hello all,

I have moedlled a 3D structure in Staad-07. I have assigned Fy = 50 ksi using define parameters option. After analyzing the structure when I double clicked on one of the member, in the steel design tab I noticed that yield strength (YLD) was equal to 36 ksi.

Does it mean that the structure has been analyzed based on Fy=36 ksi ?

I am designing the structure according to AISC-ASD ...

Thanks..

You need to define which members are 50 ksi steel. The default is 36 ksi.
