Hello,

I am looking for a 3 tonne manual "chain" hoist that does not require you to pull 100m of "chain" to raise the hook 1 m. Typically, manual chain hoists are geared such that the operator is not required to pull more than 40lbs on the chain to lift the load. The application I am using these hoists in does not require the hoist to lift the load; only that it will support the load in the event that the primary electric hoisting system fails. The operators will simply reduce the slack in the manual hoists when they set the load at working height with the electric system.

Also I am wondering if there is such a thing as a "quiet" manual hoist that functions similar to a manual chain hoist? I have been looking for something all over the internet that's similar to a manual chain hoist but with nylon/composite rope or something with a quiet gear system.

I appreciate your input.
