Hello everyone.

API 650 is clear in it's 5.7.3.4 paragraph:

Nozzles and manholes should not be placed in shell weld seams and reinforcing pads for nozzles and
manholes should not overlap plate seams
(i.e. Figure 5.9, Details a, c, and e should be avoided). If there is no other
feasible option and the Purchaser accepts the design, circular shell openings and reinforcing plates (if used) may be
located in a horizontal or vertical butt-welded shell joint provided that the minimum spacing dimensions are met and a
radiographic examination of the welded shell joint is conducted. The welded shell joint shall be fully radiographed for
a length equal to three times the diameter of the opening, but the weld seam being removed need not be
radiographed.
Radiographic examination shall be in accordance with 8.1.3 through 8.1.8.

Dear engineers, I've searched the hole morning for something like that in API 620.
Could anyone help me saying/showing me if there is something related to that in API 620 as well?

Thank-you all in advance.
