Spaceball Classic will not work in CATIA V5

I've installed the required driver and re-configured CATIA to use this device but nothing happens. If I test the mouse using the provided application (Cube, Aircraft...etc.) it works. CATIA v5 is installed on Windows 2000. Any suggestions?

try going into catia
options> Devices and virtual > Devices

then select spaceball/spacemouse.

I have a spaceball running on V5 with windows 2000 and AIX Unix, i just downloaded the new drivers from the website and it worked i have a 6094-051 Spaceball is that the same as a Classic?
