Sour water feed stabilization tank regulation

Folks,
is there any regulation over the residence time for a stabilization tank for a Sour Water Stripping Unit?
EPA has guidelines for it?

Actually I've found out that Texas demands a 3 days capacity sour water tank in order to stabilize the Sour Water Unit feed stream.
