Is there any database or resource that identifies the best ways to implement soundproofing (specfically for an automotive/construction equipment purpose) that people recommend? Covering factors like thickness + surface area, material properties + facings, methods of attachment, aborption coefficients etc...

Any help or suggestions to good resources would be greatly appreciated.
