Hi everybody ;

I think most of people knows the RX we can make with the utility "Solidworks Rx".

In my job, I've to get the RX made by the users, analyse them is I can't fix it, and if not, I post them to Soliworks.

Until today, I extract the zip and works on the file with some basic utilities.
I know that an "Rx Viewer" is developped by DS, and it's not available by final users.

My question is does anyone know this soft and would it be helpful for my work ?
If yes, could you tell me where can I get it.

In advance, thanks.

Florent,

First off let me say that I am an AE for a VAR so my comments come from that perspective.

Regarding access to the Rx Viewer, while I admit that I don't know all of the rules for distribution of this utility I have only seen the Rx Viewer utility available for download via the SolidWorks VAR Portal. I would recommend contacting your VAR for more info as to whether or not you might be able to obtain a copy of this.

Lastly, what you describe where you're extracting files from the zip archive generated by the Rx capture utility is in essence what we do on tech support. The viewer utility gives us a nice interface to review logs and so forth but in general I don't really know that I wouldn't be able to live w/o it if need be. Most of the time I do what you do. Extracted the files and the video capture in order to try and reproduce behavior.

Hope this info helps!
