SolidWorks to Catia and vice versa ! 1

Hello.
I need to know if there is a way to import CatiaV5 part files in Solidwork2003 along with all the creation features in the three. (parts where originally made in Catia) I tried many save-as format but only the surfaces results are shown.

You have to buy the Catia Translator to import Catia files into SW. Otherwise you have to export the Catia files out as something SW can use. Parasolid, STEP, IGES or ACIS. I'm not sure what version Catia can export, but those are the types that SW can import. If you want the Feature manager information. I'm afraid you are SOL. I don't have the Catia trnalator here so I can't say for sure if you would get the feature manager data, but the Translator cost is over $1000. So If you have the cash and a VAR in mind, then You should start there, because there isn't an alternative in this situation, other then the above.

Highly recommend. It's worth paying for, when one considers the overhead cost of time spent cleaning up homespun trashy translations that won't knit into a solid.
