Hi,

I have just installed a Nvidia Qaudro NVS280 64MB PCIe Card into a New PC and cannot for the life of me get Solidworks to run properly. At the moment using Software GL all is OK but it is VERY Slow as soon as I disable the software GL my sketch lines become invisible?? I have tried several different drivers with the same results. I had the same problem a while back with Nvidia TNT2 Cards but installed the drvers that came with the card and not the Nvidia detonator Drivers...viola.. no more issues. But for the life of me I cannot find any Drivers for this card other than the Nvidia Forceware Drivers.

The weird thing is if I use nView to rotate the screen at 90 Degrees it works perfectly???? (just get a sore neck from twisting my head)

Please help any Ideas will be appreciated!

That is because the NVS Quadro card is an unsupported card. It might say Quadro, but it's not in the certified list and it is NOT supported. That would be the reason why you can't get SW working on it.

Your TNT card was also not supported, that too is why you had problems with it as well. If you don't get a card that in the certifed list at then there isn't much anyone can do to help you out. If you don't believe me contact SW directly or your VAR.

Turn you monitor on its side [laughtears]

As Scott says, the NVS card is not supported. In the Application Settings section (from the nVidia icon at bottom right of screen), do you have a SolidWorks option & if so have you activated it?
