Hi
I am having a bit of trouble setting up an Opto22 DC60S5.
I simple want the relay to ground/connect a line(5V), when 12V is delivered to it.
The problem is I have assumed this to be simple, but something is wrong.
The specs are an input current of 3-32V and are rated at 5amp,the have an internal resistor of 1000ohms and do not need a diode.
I am using 2 12V 7ah(4amp) batteries to test the SSR.
The relay has 4 pin 1+,2,+3,4.
I have 1+ and 2 inline with 12 volt line that will turn on a light when current is flowing (so i can see if it is switching).
At pin 4,3+ (control as labeled on the relay)I momentarily apply 12 V.
Problem is applying 12V does nothing and it also appears that the connection between pin 1 and 2 is connected as the light comes on before i even apply 12V.
I really need some help here as this is the second brand new one I have taken out of the packet, and I cannot find a simple diagram for this use anywhere?
Cheers
