Hi,

I have a project, where I have double-racks with solid shelves. The solid shelves are 40cm height. Area of single shelf is 1,10mx2,70m=2,97m2. The rack is built from 6 double shelves and is 16,75m long.

And my question is: According to NFPA13:2007 16.1.6.1 the shelving area (64ft2 = 5,95m2) is the area of single shelf or of rack level??

I don't know how can I install in-rack sprinkler below each level because distance between levels is 40cm. I is imposible... The height of storage is 9,8m, commodity class I-IV.

The answer to your question is in NFPA 13. You should do more research or hire a person who possesses the proper experience and is capable of performing the job.

I do not want you or anyone else to consider my comments to be mean spirited or inconsiderate..........I am trying to give good advice.
