Hi guys,
I'm having an error into Solid Edge V20 (update 5), I can't get it fixed and it literally stops me from using it. I run a Gateway Pentium 2.8 GHz, 1GB of RAM with XP Media Center Edition Service Pack 2.
Here is my problem:
As soon as I start to create or edit a part, Solid Edge seems to freeze when loading the environment and I get the following message:
Edge.exe Application Error
The instruction at "0x77ec2b3a" referenced memory at "0x00000010". The memory could not be "read".
Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program.
I joined the crash log report if someone wants to have a look.
The only way I can possibly make it works is by opening a DFT file first (and it works fine) and then switching into parts modeling, that way the environment seems to be loaded properly but even thought it freezes as soon as I click the extrusion button or any different functions.
Basically I cannot create or edit an existing part, I can barely work with DFT files.
Here is what I've tried to fix my problem:
I tried to contact my supplier which suggested me to uninstall it, clean the registry keys using a homemade program he provided me and re-install it.
I tried to clean my registry using CCleaner and TuneUp Utilities 2008.
I tried to google the error code but I didn't get any solutions that work for me.
Of course I've rebooted my computer almost a million times, updated Windows etc...
I'm not expecting to get the solution in the next hour but if someone has any idea that I didn't try or knows another forum where I should post this, please feel free to tell me!
Best regards
Nicolas
